At Paystack, we believe technology should make everyday experiences feel effortless. That’s why we’re partnering with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to make airport access payments as quick and seamless as the rest of your journey.

With the new FAAN Prepaid NFC Card, drivers can now pay access fees with a quick tap, no cash, no delays. The system is designed to reduce wait times at airport gates, streamline payments with a simple tap, and offer a secure, cashless option that works for everyone.

Getting started is easy

The FAAN Prepaid NFC Card is available at any FAAN Terminal in Lagos and Abuja. Once you have your card, activation is quick:

  • Visit www.gocashless.faan.gov.ng or scan the QR code on your card
  • Enter your name and phone number to create an account
  • Verify your number with an OTP
  • Fund your wallet by transferring a minimum of ₦1,000 to the virtual account sent to your phone
  • Register your card on the dashboard

And just like that, your card is ready to use, at any airport access gate powered by FAAN and Paystack.

How it works at the access gate

  • Drive up: Your vehicle type is selected on the Paystack Terminal and the access fee is displayed on the screen
  • Tap to pay: Hold your FAAN Prepaid card over the Terminal, your payment is processed instantly (no PIN required)
  • Go: The boom gate lifts, and you’re on your way!

How Paystack powers the experience

From payment to gate lift, Paystack’s infrastructure keeps things running smoothly:

  • Accurate fees: Seamlessly integrated to display the correct fee, instantly
  • Fast and secure payments: All transactions are encrypted, and wallet balances are insured
  • Designed to scale: Built for high-volume traffic and peak travel times

The first rollout begins in Lagos and Abuja, with a nationwide launch planned before the end of 2025.

Whether you’re picking up a passenger or heading out of town, we believe paying at the gate should be as effortless as the rest of your journey. And now, it is.
